This Lilaeopsis species requires less light than Lilaeopsis brasiliensis, and also remains low (5-10 cm "lawn").Tropica's founder, Holger Windelov, found it in Mauritius in 1992. The height of the plant and the distance between its leaves depends on the light intensity; the more light, the lower the plant is and the denser its leaves. The runners spread around the aquarium. It should be planted like Lilaeopsis brasiliensis.
