The Tropical pH Test 4.5-9.5 is designed to measure the pH of fresh and saltwater aquarium water in the range 4.5-9.5 in 0.5 pH intervals. The wide pH range helps to monitor water with extremely low or high pH values, such as the black waters of South America or the alkaline waters of the African Great Lakes.

Water pH is one of the most important parameters for determining the health and survival of fish. There is an optimal pH level for each species of fish in the aquarium. It should also be considered that fish will not tolerate rapid changes in pH, which can cause severe damage to the skin, gills, fins and eyes. The Tropical pH Test 4.5-9.5 quickly and easily indicates whether the water in the aquarium is safe for the fish being kept.
