For over 25 years Deltec GMBH has worked hard to develop the best marine aquarium equipment available on the market. They are known worldwide for their high performance and quality protein skimmers. When their patent on the Deltec Pinwheel ran out, they opened the market for other people to copy their ideas and produce their own pinwheels, but without the 25+ years of experience and development that had gone into Deltec products.

The latest generations of Deltec protein skimmers have been developed to produce the optimum air to water ratio in the reaction chamber for the lowest possible power consumption.

The TC designation describes the special Twin Chamber design of the bubble chamber which is patented and has the advantage of compressing the pumps for higher efficiency and ensures that only unscaled water passes through the pump instead of re-directing and reprocessing water in the chamber.

The bubble design allows to reduce the height of the skimmers and allow them to fit in a cabinet. The primary use of the bubble chamber is to prevent swirling from the body and neck of the skimmer, as swirling can pull waste laden bubbles back into the water column causing a reduction in efficiency. The air to water ratio is so high that there is almost direct reaction with the waste, therefore there is no requirement for tall reaction chambers found in some low air immobilizers thus keeping the units compact.
