Crinum thaianum is a distinctive bulbous plant belonging to the lily family. It has no special requirements except that it needs a lot of space. It is planted so that 2/3 of the bulb is visible, otherwise the bulb will rot. When the plant matures it sometimes blooms on the surface with an elegant, fragrant lily flower. Vegetarian fish do not mind it as it has tough leaves. In Thailand the bulb is used in Thailand to make cream for hand care. It is also a plant suitable for ponds.
