It is one of the hardiest plants available for our aquarium. It is suitable for beginners because it grows in almost all conditions. In fact it grows so fast that you have to take care that it does not "drown" the other plants. It should be pruned frequently. Its leaves if left on the surface create a new small plant. It varies considerably in leaf shape and colour depending on how strong the lighting in your aquarium is.
