Golden Apple snail

One of the species that makes up the most common 'roommates' of goldfish in an aquarium is the apple snails, especially the yellow or otherwise, golden apple snails.
These are a species of freshwater snails found in tropical and subtropical climates. They belong to the Ampullariidae group, which is often referred to as Pilidae and includes several species.
