There are many varieties of this plant. The variety proposed by Tropica is said to originate from Malaysia. It is characterised by its narrow green leaves, which are purple on the back. Like most red plants, the colour depends on the supply of intense light. The addition of CO2 promotes growth significantly and it also thrives in hard water.
Limnophilla aromatica is easy to propagate by cuttings.

A bunch of stems or young plants were gathered into a root. Remove the root and divide into separate plants. As for the stem plants, remove the leaves from the lowest 5 cm. Remove any damaged leaves. Plant the individual plants some distance apart in the lower substrate. Roots will soon develop and the plant will start to grow.
