The stem plant Hottonia from Asia and Europe is a simple and easy plant for beginners. The many curved fan-shaped stems and bright pale green leaves quickly form a tight group. Each stem becomes 4-6 cm wide and 10-30 cm tall. Frequent cutting of the long stems ensures growth from the bottom of the plant and maintains the narrow, bushy form.
