It is quite a demanding plant but if the conditions are favourable it will not take long to have a green carpet in our aquarium because of its very fast growth. It is one of the smallest plants for the front zone of our aquarium. It grows towards the surface if the light intensity is low. We have to make sure that other plants do not shade it. Plant small parts of it at a distance of 1 or 2 cm to help it grow better.
